The Challenge

Grupo Nesax hired me to overhaul their website, which struggled to serve two audiences: large telecom and energy companies seeking outsourcing services, and sales professionals exploring job opportunities. The existing site was dated, convoluted, and barely functional on mobile—where 77% of traffic originated, per Google Analytics. My challenge was to modernize their digital presence, streamline navigation, and create a fully custom, responsive platform that boosted trust and engagement for both user groups.

The Journey

1. Understanding the Problem:

Grupo Nesax needed a website that reflected their professional stature. I dissected the old site, pinpointing scattered service info, an outdated look, and mobile unfriendliness. I interviewed five target users—corporate decision-makers and sales recruits from inside, and outside the organization—who craved clarity and accessibility. Competitor sites in telecom and energy outsourcing also lacked the polish Grupo Nesax aimed to achieve. I collaborated with the client to align their vision with user needs, setting a clear redesign path.

2. Ideation & Design:

I designed wireframes in Figma for a one-page layout with minimal secondary pages, using progressive disclosure to keep users focused. The redesign targeted two functions:

  • Service Discovery: Highlighting outsourcing solutions for telecom/energy firms.

  • Recruitment: Offering a formal application form for sales professionals.

I presented these wireframes to stakeholders, gathered feedback, and implemented changes to refine the structure. A mobile-first approach tackled the 77% mobile traffic, while I developed brand guidelines—logo, colors, typography—to unify their identity.

3. Cohesion:

I created a compelling brand guideline and design system—standardizing typography, colors, and type of imagery—to embody Grupo Nesax’s professional ethos, ensuring consistency across the site and future materials. Using stakeholder feedback, I built a high-fidelity prototype in Figma, aligning it with the design system for a polished, cohesive look before development.

4. Testing & Iteration:

  • Round 1: Stakeholders tested the low-fidelity Figma wireframes, flagging navigation issues and unclear service breakdowns. I incorporated this feedback into the high-fidelity prototype.

  • Round 2: Fourteen employees tested the high-fidelity Figma prototype, praising its usability and professional vibe. Task success rates hit 100% for finding services and job inquiries. Feedback like “This feels so much more professional now” drove final polish. I then built the site 100% custom, carefully following the design in WordPress.

The Solution

Grupo Nesax’s redesigned website, is a fully custom, mobile-first platform crafted in WordPress with Elementor. It simplifies service discovery for corporations and job exploration for sales professionals via a one-page layout with strategic secondary pages. A robust design system ensures a cohesive, credible experience, while Elementor’s flexibility delivers tailored functionality and SEO for 77% mobile traffic.

Post-launch, the site saw a 35% traffic increase and a 74% surge in inquiries within two weeks, reflecting its success in driving engagement. I designed wireframes and prototypes in Figma, iterated based on feedback, and developed it custom in Elementor, delivering it to Grupo Nesax. See the live site and responsive comparison below.

Reflection

As a hired UX/UI designer and developer for Grupo Nesax, I enhanced my expertise in branding, user experience, stakeholder collaboration, and custom development. Entrusted with modernizing their online presence, I crafted a polished, accessible design that served both large corporations and sales professionals. User testing feedback like “This feels so much more professional now”, paired with post-launch results—a 35% traffic boost and 74% inquiry surge in two weeks—demonstrated the redesign’s impact. Developing brand guidelines and iterating from Figma wireframes to a fully custom-built website strengthened my ability to deliver strategic, user-centric solutions under tight demands.
